Melissa is a full member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University and has a Royal Melbourne Hospital Staff Physiotherapy position. Her strong interest is in orthopaedic and sports injuries after gaining experience at Box Hill Hospital, where she worked in both acute and rehabilitative settings.
Melissa is committed to ongoing professional development and has most notably undertaken an assistant academic research role at La Trobe University involving the analyses of gluteal tendinopathy (hip and buttock pain) in women. She has also completed Clinical Pilates and Neuro Physio postgraduate training.
Melissa works with local AFL teams and enjoys running, netball and tennis, which she plays each competitively. In addition, Melissa has spent time volunteering in Nepal, providing physiotherapy to communities in need.
