Emily Allen

Emily is one of the most highly educated, experienced, knowledgeable and post graduate qualified physiotherapists in Australia. With 14 years’ experience and 3-year Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne she is the Advanced Practice Physiotherapist at Royal Melbourne Hospital overseeing the Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis Clinic and involved in orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation, fracture repair and chronic pain conditions involving close communication with orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians and podiatrists. Her expertise and specialization lie in low back and knee pain.

Emily has been an athlete with distinguished involvement in national level track and field (400m hurdles and the 800m) with medals in junior and open age national championships and international grand prix events. She passion for management of sporting, particularly running associated injuries and strength and conditioning.

With advanced postgraduate training in Knees, Hips, Pelvis and shoulder pain and injury, Emily, with Ben Bond, runs the Richmond Physiotherapy Clinic Running Injuries and Retraining group optimising athletic performance.
