As a former elite dancer and now a Physiotherapist, Lucy has worked with full time dancers from the McDonald College, Newtown performing arts School and Alegria Dance Studios in Sydney as well as the Albury-Wodonga AFL football team. After two years of Private Practice Physiotherapy consulting in Sydney she is now on the academic pathway to post-graduate Sports Physiotherapist Titling.
With an interest in foot and ankle injuries, Lucy utilises hands on treatment including, as appropriate, Dry Needling and Pilates, and uses evidence-based exercise rehabilitation to optimise movement patterns and biomechanics. She believes that the key to effective rehabilitation and future injury prevention is education and empowerment to take control of your own physical wellbeing.
Lucy has a 10 year career as an elite full-time dancer (Victorian College of the Arts, Sydney City Youth Ballet, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary dance in the UK). She possesses an in-depth understanding of the demands of elite sport and what it takes to become an elite athlete.
